Reviewing the Samsung LN52A650 LCD HDTV
Samsung, one of the top leading brands in the world of HDTV televisions proves again they are one of best in the world of high definition television with the 52-inch LN52A650. This set is able to display stunning images with bright and vibrant colors. This model sits without any doubt among the best LCD HDTVs in the market.
Some of the features that make the Samsung LN52A650 a powerhouse of a Tv set include full HD resolution (1080p – 1080 lines progressive scan) and a very high contrast ratio of 50,000:1. What really makes it one of the best in its class is that it is very good at projecting dark tones and black which is very important when it comes to depth perception and overall image quality. Usually one of the problems that most LCDs have especially those of lower quality, is in fact poor blacks leading to a great loss of depth within the overall image. That is not a problem with the LN52A650.
The response time in this model is relatively fast, helping it deliver fluid movement on fast moving scenes and less unwanted artifacts. It is also takes advantage of CCFL technology. DNIE is the acronym of Digital Natural Image Engine and is a technology that is designed to make images look as life like as possible, something that older LCD HDTV televisions had problems with.
It also has an internal HDTV tuner needing no external add ons to be able to watch over the air HD programming. The tuner also has some really cool features that resemble a digital program guide you would find in services such as satellite television but a little more simple. It also has excellent sound thanks to some really good speakers.
Overall Samsung LN52A650 is a great LCD HDTV set. Image quality is excellent. Besides image quality, the addition of a tuner makes it a great choice of those that enjoy local over the air broadcasts needing only an antenna to be able to continue watching their favorite shows but in HD quality. It’s high contrast level and refresh rate makes it great for video games and watching movies.
