Sony Bravia KDL37V5500U LCD HDTV Television Review
The Sony KDL37V5500 is piled high with great future proof features and many Eco settings to assist with our ongoing support of the environment.
The 1920 x 1080 resolution provides full high definition detail and the Sony Bravia Engine 3 ensures vivid colors along with amazing clarity and depth. Sony’s latest features make an appearance on this TV with Advanced Contrast Enhancer, Picture Frame Mode, Live Colors, 24p True Cinema, USB Media PlayerScene Select, and Voice Zoom.
The Light Sensor, a new feature, senses how much light is in the room and adjusts the brightness of the screen to it so you save electricity and the picture is optimized. Sony’s new AppliCast function is featured on this TV making it possible to watch Internet programming on the screen while you are watching TV, a few of the pre-installed applications are the weather, world clock and calendar.
Uploading your still images, videos and music from the internet is easy with a wide array of connections including PC input, 4 HDMI inputs and a DLNA Ethernet connection.
The Sony Bravia KDL37V5500U performs in an impressive manner. however it doesn’t have the Motionflow feature on this model which may have been missed due to the more technical and high performing engine on board. It is true to its word, having every scene packed full of bright colours and detail. Live Color helps deliver this performance. Blu-ray movies look great on the 24p True Cinema system as it provides a supreme picture.
The sound quality is also excellent due to Sony giving it a lot of attention. You can adjust the volume to a sufficient level, unlike other televisions with similar specification and price tags, so that you can hear the true clarity and depth of sound effects that this television is capable of.
The Sony Bravia KDL-37W5500U impresses everyone with it’s awesome picture and sound quality. It can be operated easily, this includes the features that are new allowing connection to the internet.
