The Panasonic TX-P50G20B 59″ NeoPDP Plasma HDTV Television
Just when you though Plasma technology was over, Panasonic hits with another of their Viera Plasma HDTV televisions. This time we are talking about the Panasonic TX P50G20B, a set that is complemented by some of this brands outstanding features. In fact, this company has put on quite an effort to improve their Plasma Class models with each new release. This set is a wonder on its own. As you would expect from Panasonic each new lineup is jam packed with new and exiting features to keep you entertained for many years.
As you would expect from this brand the picture is amazing. This set truly represents a Plasma HDTV in terms of picture quality. While most top of the line LCD televisions have a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 the Panasonic TX P50G20B has a contrast ratio five times higher, averaging a 5,000,000:1 ratio. This set literarily offers pitch blacks and very bright white colors. When people talk about the differences in contrast ratio between Plasma and LCD HDTVs this is what they are talking about. Not only is the contrast ratio good the set also allows resolutions up to 1080p, the maximum resolution that is used by HDTV sets today.
Everything that you would expect from a Plasma television is here including the warm solid colors. To make this set even more powerful Panasonic included their NeoPDP technology in this set. This technology is responsible of the high contrast ratio and lowered power consumption. Plasma screens using this technology including the Panasonic TX-P50G20B have extremely high response rates (0.001 msec.). To make this set even more perfect for sports and movies the Intelligent Creation Pro gives this set its blazing fast 600 Hz refresh rate.
In terms of sound, this set is THX certified although speakers only handle 10 watts each. Then again, this set is made to be the center of a home theater. A set this big deserved to be plugged to a 5.1 dolby surround sound system.

When it comes to connectivity it has 4 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, composite video inputs, component video inputs, audio inputs and many more including a LAN port.
If you are looking for a huge set to fill your needs that Panasonic TX-P50G20B is a great option. It is an expensive set but considering the many features that you are getting not mentioning the image quality it is not a bad deal after all.
